Green heating oil from the forest

We supply industries with green heating oil for their heating requirements and other uses. Our bio-oil comes from forest residues.

Our bio-oil is certified sustainable by the Swedish Energy Agency – in other words, it’s a green fuel oil. Bio-oil is therefore a good renewable alternative to fossil fuel oils for industry.

Bio-oil has more potential development possibilities. There are plans to use it in the production of petrol or lubricating oils.

Because it contains sterols, there are also possibilities for developing cholesterol reducing foodstuffs or medications.

SunPine produces around 50,000 tonnes of fuel oil per year.

FAQ - Bio-oil

What is bio-oil?

Bio-oil is a collective name for green renewable oil which is produced as a by-product of biomass instead of having a fossil origin.

What is bio-oil used for?

Bio-oil is used as a green fuel oil in for example rotary kilns in forest industry or in boilers for combined heat and power (CHP) plants. Boi-oil has the potential to be used for so much more such as the extraction of fatty acids, fatty alcohols, sterols etc.

Is bio-oil environmentally friendly? 

Yes, bio-oil is a renewable fuel oil and is therefore an excellent alternative to fossil fuels.
