He is one of Sunpine’s latest recruits. Pierre Le Meur has been working as a laboratory assistant at the company for barely two months, and he already has a good feel for his new job.
“It feels pretty good. SunPine is a modern, innovative company. The company looks ahead and cares about the environment, and that feels good,” says Pierre Le Meur.
Tell us a little about your job at SunPine.
It’s a bit complicated. But in simple terms, I analyze various substances and produce results to ensure our operation and production are as high-quality as possible. It’s very interesting, and very responsible.
What is it about your job at SunPine that motivates you?
Analyzing. There’s always something new to learn, which is a great feeling. It lets me know I’m alive.
How would you describe your work environment?
It’s great. I feel safe here. Every department has well established procedures and checks and works constantly on improvements. They’re always doing risk assessments to make sure there are no accidents or environmental incidents. SunPine is not an employer that ignores safety. They’re committed and want all of us to enjoy work, and it’s something you can feel in the air.
And your colleagues; how’s the atmosphere?
Straightforward. There is no dividing line between senior managers and people working in production. I’m still not used to that. Things are a bit different in France; we’d never dream of not saying ‘sir’ to a CEO. It’s an old-fashioned kind of respect that’s a bit over-the-top. It’s why it’s so great here; if I need to ask our CEO Magnus about anything, I just go right ahead. There’s a different mentality here, and in Sweden in general, and it’s something I appreciate very much.
If someone who was curious about working at SunPine asked you how things are here, what would you say?
I’d tell them: Go for it! You won’t be disappointed. It’s never a chore having to go to work in the morning. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
