Veronika Isaksson

Veronika has worked at SunPine since 2012. She started within logistics and works with sustainability nowadays.

What does your job at SunPine entail?

I work on the department for quality, environment and safety as sustainability coordinator. My areas of focus are greenhouse gas calculations, legal compliance and making sure we meet our sustainability certifications. I also assist with investigations concerning the workplace environment and environment related questions within the company.

What motivates you in your job at SunPine?

Mostly because I feel that my work makes a difference and it is for a good reason. I am often faced with challenges within my working tasks, which I like, and this could be what motivates me in my work. The level of motivation at work goes up and down, especially when you have been working at a company for a longer period of time. Thankfully we have engaged and open co-workers at SunPine so we help each other to keep the motivation strong.

How would you describe the working environment?

At SunPine we have a high level of focus on safety which is reflected in our statistics for accidents and incidents. In recent years we have focused a lot on well-being, the working environment and how we act towards one another. I think this has provided great results, and the numbers in our latest employee survey confirm it.

How is the atmosphere between colleagues?

I think it is really good. We respect and care about each other.

If someone who was curious about working here asked you how it is to work at SunPine, what would you say?

I have been asked this question many times and I always answer the same way: At SunPine you have great opportunities to develop in whichever role you apply for. The company has a willingness to allow the co-workers to develop. If you are engaged, open to new ideas, creative and ready to question things to increase your understanding then you will be taken care of. SunPine thinks life outside of work is important and the management is very supportive in many ways.

Other

SunPine is a young company and has had, like many other growing companies, occasional growing pains in the organisation. I am glad to see we have succeeded in riding out many of the storms we have faced and am very confident in what is to come. The company in general and our plans for further development of more sustainable products in the future feels exciting and challenging.
